How it works

Look it over. Put it right. Hand it back.

Every job follows the same three steps, so you always know where it stands and what it costs.

1

Look it over.

We start with a free half-hour conversation. Straightforward jobs get quoted on the spot. Otherwise I do a small paid audit and write up what I find. Either way, you know what’s wrong, what I’d do and what it costs before you commit.

  • ✓  A free first conversation
  • ✓  A plain-language write-up
  • ✓  A fixed quote with scope and dates
  • ✓  No obligation to go further
2

Put it right.

The work happens in the open. Each week you click through real progress, not a status report. I fix the cause, not the symptom. If something changes the job, I stop and tell you before the price moves.

  • ✓  A weekly look at real progress
  • ✓  One point of contact: me
  • ✓  Two rounds of revisions
  • ✓  Scope changes in writing
3

Hand it back.

It isn’t finished until you can run it without me. Documentation, every login transferred, and a walkthrough for whoever will use it. Then 30 days of free fixes.

  • ✓  Plain-English documentation
  • ✓  All logins and files in your name
  • ✓  A recorded walkthrough
  • ✓  30 days of fixes

How long things usually take.

1–2 weeksOne-page site, operations look-over
3–4 weeksFive-page site
4–6 weeksTen-page site, rebuild of an existing site

Questions.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. Every site comes with an editor and a walkthrough, so changing a phone number or adding a photo doesn’t need me. If you’d rather not, the care plan includes an hour of edits a month.

What if the job changes halfway through?

I stop, write up what changed and what it does to the price and date, and you decide. Nothing hits an invoice you didn’t approve.

Do I have to be in North Carolina?

No. The shop is in Brunswick County and nearly all the work is remote. Local businesses are welcome to meet in person.

Who owns the work?

You do, once the final invoice is paid. Domains, hosting and software accounts are opened in your name from the start.

What if I only need a few hours?

That’s what the hourly rate is for. Two-hour minimum, and I’ll say up front if it’ll take more.

Step one is free.

A half-hour conversation, a plain answer, and no obligation to go further.
